History of Reiter’s
Reiter’s Service Station, the original company, was founded by Doug and Kathy Reiter in 1994. It was Doug’s dream to have his own business. Doug and Kathy worked hard over the years to make the business a success. A fun fact about Reiter’s is that it has employed three generations thus far. When Reiter’s Service Station originally opened Doug hired his father Joe to help at the fuel pumps in the Zieglerville location. Joe enjoyed welcoming customers and did so with a smile on his face. As the business continued to grow so did Doug and Kathy’s four sons. All of the “boys” helped at some point at the station pumping gas or working on cars. Eventually their third son Kyle joined the team, and in 2019 he assisted with the purchase and move to a new location 8 Simmons Road, Perkiomenville. The new location offers more space and allowed for the addition of several employees. Kyle now is the owner and operator of Reiter’s Auto Repair and is fortunate enough to have his dad Doug continue working by his side on a daily basis.

“When I called about a tire that kept going flat, the folks at Reiter's quickly squeezed me in around other appointments and repaired the tire while I waited. Doug brought the tire out to show me the damage and the cause (a sharp rock in the tread). It was a fairly short wait, despite them being short-staffed. This was the first I'd spent any time in the waiting room at the new facility, and it was comfortable and welcoming, with snack and water for customers.”
